Where the author shamelessly plugs his poetry
Election Day 11/06/18
“The Ohio is oozing its way along,
as a young black man trumpets into a phone.
Momma I didn’t take her fucking shit!
I worry about him because two cars down
Is an old white man making this his business.
Barges dislocating their bones from the shore,
some are populated, some are deserted.
This young man’s madness is sincere and intense.
Bargemen grind to dock their relics to the shore,
their rusty struggle is honest and intense.
I’m not coming back until they are fucking gone momma!
Another barge burdened and, on its way south.
Engines spew manic fumes into sparkling air,
rage and muscles pulse, a mother’s night ruined.
Driftwood and water bottles slip silently.”
